Kristine & Chris are great friends of mine. I photographed their wedding many years ago, it was a beautiful farm wedding in rural Wisconsin. It was before I started to blog but, the images from their wedding day are still some of my favorites! Last fall Kristine called and asked me to come out to their farm for a super fun pregnancy announcement. Check it out here. Naturally, I was excited to be back to meet baby Cashton just a few weeks ago. When I arrived, Kristine told me all about the last days of her pregnancy and how she put herself into labor by helping Chris unload an entire trailer full of hay-bale’s! When she walked into the hospital and they asked her if she may have done anything to get things started she said no… in true farm girl fashion. Chris had to prompt her to tell them about stacking 30 pound bales. I tell ya… she is tough but around her sweet new baby she is perfection. Someday he will grow up to drive that red tractor and in no time he will be helping stack hay too!
Chris was keeping an eye on the rain clouds coming ahead and we were able to finish up all of the outdoor photos just in time for one nasty summer storm.
Pro Tip: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS trust a farmer when they tell you a storm is coming no matter what the radar looks like!
I photographed Kristine & Chris’s engagement photo’s using that quilt and I had to do some major DIGGING to find it but, I just knew I needed to bring it out for this session.
Thank you so much for allowing me the chance to photograph this beautiful new beginning. I can’t wait to watch Cashton grow up on the farm! Contact me if you are interest in a lifestyle session of your own!
Beautiful photos Christine. Love them.
