This was my first Creamery 201 Wedding in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and I certainly hope that this is on the beginning. Everything about this location and this day was stunning.
It was late fall, with over cast, creamy skies… not quite bitter cold and blue but the warm air of summer was over. I arrived and Savannah was so joyful and excited… and her dress… Wow! So beautiful. I loved the details of the day… but most of all, the joyful family love that filled the space was palpable. I enjoyed my time and chatted with family who drove all the way from Canada with determination to make the cake as has been tradition in the family for many of events. I laughed heartily along with the friends and family who teased Matthew for having the nerve to take Savannah out even after learning her father was in the FBI. I may have shed a tear when Savannah’s Grandfather married the two of them, holding his bible in hand. And when it came time to dance… y’all, if you don’t know this by now… but I always dance. I simply can’t help myself. I had enough time to play with my light and create some of my favorite images with swirl and color.
Enjoy this one… I know I did.
I ALWAYS pray along with the wedding party if I’m near by… I might even suggest a quick prayer, if I know you are the praying type.
I may have encouraged these two to walk around an active construction site to find these white walls and and clean lines… not sorry. 🙂
This moment right here… Savannah locked eyes with Mathew, and Savannah’s father locking eyes with her mother… she is standing right in front of me. Just a moment that makes me cry every time… as a mother, someday I might be the one standing right there and… it just gets me.
A friend sketching the moments live!
Thank you a million times over for choosing me to celebrate this day with you. I loved your day!
