Stephanie & Dominic’s Madison Children’s Museum Wedding Reception was so much fun and carefree and soooo detailed to their families and interests. But as much fun as that reception was, their Catholic wedding at The Blessed Sacrament Church in Madison was even more beautiful. It was my first time photographing at this Madison Church and I hope it won’t be my last. Stephanie & Dominic are both one of six children!! Isn’t that great!?! I have my fingers crossed that they keep up with the trend. 😉
I had a few favorite moments but I want to share the words from Dominic & Stephanie first:
Me: Stephanie & Dominic – I loved your reception location, The Madison Children’s Museum was so much fun tell me about that decision ALSO the details from your day… Star Wars and Super Hero’s!! I loved it and all of your details!
Stephanie & Domenic: We wanted to find a venue that was really unique and family-oriented (as we both have large Catholic families!). During our first venue tour, we fell in love with how colorful and quirky the Children’s Museum was – it really represented us as a couple!
We incorporated a lot of wedding day details that were meaningful to our relationship and showed off our shared interests and hobbies. We had so much fun coming up with superheroes for each of our tables and being able to include elements from our favorite movie – Star Wars! There were so many fun and amazing details we used on our day, but our favorite was probably the Millennium Falcon Guest Book – it was perfect!
Me: Stephanie, share with me some favorite memories from your day!
Stephanie: One of my favorite memories of the day was praying with Domenic before the ceremony. I remember feeling so incredibly happy and humbled that God blessed me with someone as amazing as him! It’s something I’ll always cherish!
My other favorite memory happened during the ceremony, when Domenic and I received a Bible from both our parents. Inside were two beautiful, handwritten letters about the importance of keeping God in the center of our marriage. It was incredibly meaningful to us and we use it frequently to reflect and pray. We hope to use it as a family Bible when our family begins to grow!
Me: Domenic, share with me some favorite memories from your day!
Domenic: There were so many incredible and amazing parts of the day, it’s been very difficult for me to narrow it down to just a couple to share! As our marriage is founded and rooted in our shared Catholic faith, my favorite part of the day was beginning it with the Mass (which was more beautiful than I could have hoped, thanks to Father Andy!). One of the standout memories there, for me, was being able to take a few moments of silence before everything began and say a prayer with my soon-to-be wife.
I feel so blessed that the day continued to be as beautiful as it began. The museum was incredible – we certainly made the right choice in a venue! Again, it’s really difficult choosing another favorite moment – there were so many! – but I think I’m going to go with dinner. Not only because it was delicious, which it was, but being able to sit in (relative) solitude with Stephanie, and take everything in, and just talk with my wife (!) for a little bit. . . I remember in that moment feeling how absolutely lucky I felt to find someone like her.
I especially loved how these two prayed together before their ceremony but without seeing one another. So romantic… so perfect for this couple.
These photos of the two of them dancing together here are some of my favorite images from the day.
If you follow me on Instagram you will remember Dominic and his brothers playing this piano together in a bit of down time. I LOVED it… favorite moment for me. These guys are so talented and also just love their jovial spirit together.
Thank you both so much for choosing me to be your wedding day photographer!! It was such a beautiful day!!
