I don’t even know how to describe this wedding day. It was so beautiful but also so special because it was my cousin as the bride and my daughters as the flower girls. I was surrounded by my family all day long as I documented this stunning wedding day.It doesn’t get much better than that! Oh and the Fields Reserve in Stoughton… STUNNING!
I have so many favorite moments but ultimately I am struck by Patrick and his complete adoration of Charlie. We had many moments when it was just the three of us and he just couldn’t peal his eyes off of her… and multiple times he said she was just so beautiful and how lucky he was that she showed up and said yes to him! After a few years of knowing Patrick, I’ve known him as a light hearted and fun kinda guy… not terribly lovey-dovey around us… it brought tears to my eyes and I’m so very honored to have been the person there taking those photos for the day.
I of course asked them to share a few bits about their day… Charlie responded and I’m still waiting on Patricks email… 😉
Me – Charlie tell me about your day!!
Charlie – August 17, 2018. What a magical day. There were so many precious moments that I will cherish forever. One of my favorites of the day was standing with my dad behind closed doors, eagerly waiting to walk down the aisle. I was so anxious and excited to see the love of my life, Patrick and so honored to take that treasured walk with my dad. It is a feeling I will never forget or take for granted because last year I was fearful that this walk might never happen for my Dad and me. Back when the dreaded C word entered his life. When the doors opened, I can only describe this feeling as pure bliss. All of the people we love most in one room, waiting anxiously to see us proclaim our love to one another.
In the middle of all of the excitement, I remember grabbing Patrick after dinner and telling him to stop, breath and look around at all of the people we have made some sort of impact on throughout our lives. All of these people took precious time, traveled from different countries, states, and towns, just to be there with us on one of the most important days of our lives. I know it was by far the best day of mine.
Look there’s me! I had to leave myself in a few cuz… well I just had to! 😉
I found Charlie’s Dad sitting alone in the church and couldn’t have planned a better moment if I tried.
I just have to give a big fat shout out to my husband, Scot. I threw a camera at him a few moments before the ceremony and told him a few specific images I wanted him to take and once again he nailed it. I don’t like playing favorites but gosh, I think he is my all time favorite second photographer. Still no luck getting him to come on full-time though! He has photographed with me these past 10 years and each time when I get his images back I’m amazed at his eye.
My favorite image from the day.
My girls trying like heck to ring the bell!
I even made the family photo.
*Also me enjoying myself… family wedding photographer bonus.
This is honestly one of my favorite images of the day… tell these two to act natural and this is their go to move! Errr’y Time.
I loved how Patrick & his family added in this Polish Tradition to the day.
This moment of Charlie & Patrick stealing away with their best friends before the big dances is just so real and beautiful. I love these kinds of wedding day moments. The real ones that happen in between the big stuff.
The dance floor was AMAZIN!!
