I had been looking forward to Luke & Lianna’s wedding day since I first met them at the Wedding Planner & Guide wedding show in this January. I saw Lianna and noticed her necklace full of Catholic Saint metals and knew I had to direct her to my favorite wedding planning site, Spoken Bride even if she already had a wedding photographer booked. We chatting for a bit & they mentioned they still needed a photographer for THIS summer… honestly, I was already booked up for 2017 year of weddings and their wedding happened to fall on my youngest son’s birthday, but I knew I would love capturing their beautiful Catholic wedding ceremony.
Leading up to their wedding day Lianna’s father suffered and accident and broke his neck. Can you imagine!! By the Grace of God he is ok & was able to attend the wedding day and celebrate their union and even managed to have a great sense of humor about it all! The wedding was held at St. Peter’s in the country side of Madison’s west side. The church is set back on a country road of rolling hills and Wisconsin farms. It is truly an unbelievably beautiful sanctuary and was full with all of Luke & Lianna’s closest friends and family. I loved especially seeing all of the young children in attendance… most of them much better behaved than my four on any given Sunday! During the exchange of vows, Lianna and Luke never broke away from looking at each other with pure joy and excitement.
After the wedding and some photos outside we headed over to The Wyndham Garden Hotel & Tuscany Mediterranean Grill for their reception. The speeches were heartfelt, food amazing and the dance floor was packed all night long.
Luke and Lianna, thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to be your wedding day photographer. I wish you so much joy and happiness in the years ahead! In the words of Lianna’s Mom, remember to make memories!
Contact me if you are are engaged and wouldn’t mind a photographer who will inevitable cry a few times during the day right along with you!
