I grew with Carrie and her twin sister Kristine, and also with Bobby. We all went to the same small country school together starting in Kindergarten. We all cut down the Christmas tree at Reeces from the school forest and played dodge ball against the unforgiving brick walls of the school building. Bobby was the kindest guy throughout school, always standing up for us girls simply because it was always the right thing to do. He has an infectious smile and Carrie was smitten with him from the beginning… I remember sitting in the High School study hall sharing secrets and her telling us she though Bobby was cute! Life is weird though, the twists and the turns that we all go through. Both of them finding different paths but winding back up together after Carrie finally found the courage to facebook message him after all of these years and confess her crush. They both couldn’t believe that they BOTH always had an eye on each other even since elementary school.
It’s amazing how the world turns and you find the one that you were meant to be with was right down the street the whole time.
Carrie messaged me late one night asking to photograph her wedding. I was over joyed… and when she told me it was in two weeks… I loved their story even more. When you know, ya know.
The wedding day arrived and went off without a hitch… (lol) After a few gravel drive way celebratory beers, we hopped in Bobby’s truck and drove down the windy roads to our old elementary school… they place where the story began.
Congrats to this amazing couple. It was an honor to be included in the small group of people that witnessed your great day.
*Big shout out to Kristine and her amazing bouquet making skills from The Grove Flower Farm.
