Having the opportunity to photography Tim & Brooke’s beautiful Swan Barn Door Wedding & Reception was an honor. My favorite part of the whole day was just after Tim & Brooke turned to take hands at the alter, Tim mouthed the words, “you look so beautiful” to her. I was there looking through my lens at the perfect time and my heart melted. I could go on an on about their amazing day… about how Tim couldn’t peel the smile off of his face if he tried… about how amazing all of Brooke’s friends and family were on the hot summer night… about the fun we had a Nig’s on the strip in the Dells. It was a beautiful celebration of the both of them and I’m so glad to have been a part of it all! Check out their engagement photos here.
I asked Brooke & Tim to tell me about their unique love story and their wedding day:
Our Love Story-
We meet in spring of 1996 at a quiet apartment complex on the north side of Madison. Occasionally, we would cross paths at the complex; each other taking notice of one another. It just so happened that our apartment buildings faced each other… in fact they were directly across from each other! From time to time they we would catch each other glancing into the other’s windows from across the way. I was definitely stalking him LOL!
One day, I approached him for help with the phone line in my apartment. Earlier, I had been invited to a bonfire that night. While Tim was working on the phone line we made small talk and I asked if he would want to go to this bonfire with me. That was our first date.
In the months ahead we began seeing each other on a regular basis and our fondness for one another grow into the love and friendship we have today. We purchased a farmette north of Madison and settled down together adding a few dogs to our life along the way. Our love for one another blossomed into a lifetime friendship and commitment that is still going strong 21 yrs later!
Favorite part of wedding-
Tim’s favorite part was standing at the alter with his bride.
My favorite part was seeing all my friends and family that I don’t get to see on a regular basis. It was great to catch up. Along with spending the day by the side of my now husband.
Tim says don’t worry be happy and don’t stress, it all turns out in the end.
Me- when it seems everything that could go wrong goes wrong! It turns out just fine! No one knows any different.
Have fun on your special day!
